   Her obsession with keeping the story the same is stupid to the point that it is annoying. Reality and fiction are different. Even if you truly tried to keep it the same, you would not be able to. Reality has a astronomical number of moving parts that would be impossible to know or follow. Think of it like the butterfly effect, unknowingly changing one small thing can change everything.
