The problem is with gender pronouns in Japanese and Korean being common to both genders. If you have watched anime, you will notice that it is -san for both male and female. That is why the translation is having problems.

Why in so many of the translations they always have issues with the gender…she becomes he, niece becomes nephew, countess becomes count…etc. I get the order of the sentences being off, but there shouldn’t be so many issues with the gender.
