I’m not sure exactly what you mean by “rapey.” Yeah Estelle is getting confined against her will and all, but that’s the fault of one guy—the antagonist. Most of the other characters are great people. I think you have a misconception that the story is trying to normalize this kind of behavior, when it’s pretty clear (if you actually read this chapter) that it’s not the case at all. Estelle is clearly trying to figure a way out of this, and that’s going to require planning.

I dropped this ages ago because the story is so rape-y for real. I checked now out of curiosity and I’m disgusted to see that it didn’t dial down at all.
