The fancy prison thing is so true, I had a friend from a well to do family and she would runaway and rebel a lot. Too bad she became a spoiled selfish brat tho, bc her parents were actually nice, just busy. They get mad bc they care, but you just don’t see it in her shoes. I think parents like that just assume their kids will be good if they see how hard they work to provide so the kiddos can be comfortable, but in reality kids need to experience some hardship to learn empathy and how hard the real world is to value what they do have.
