@Simpin It’s because these authors have a need to always have the FL marry into the highest position, with the exception of a certain maid but even then the king never married and still loved her. Which is both sweet and odd(?)
Tho from her point of view, I can see why she would not choose any of them, she kinda became their mother so that would be a bit awkward…
If the king is the ML and the slave kid. It makes slightly more sense for her to get together with, mostly because she doesn’t remember and (from what we know so far) they were not together long, so not a mother figure.
Tho me personally, I’m shipping the green guy. I’d be nice to have a noncliché couple. Tho this is with over looking the whole mother figure thing.
