The fact that he treated her like sh!t was never correct. Regardless of his trauma or his hatred, it is an undeniable truth that she did nothing to him. Even if she was not the kid from his past, even if she’s merely the daughter of that enemy, she NEVER did anything to him nor his family. That man, who claimed to be her father, who also tortured her, was the sole perpetrator. Yet he took it on her, to “pay” for the sin she never committed, again regardless of her being the person he was looking for. Even from his perspective, it should never been her to be tortured by him to that extent.

the fact that a lot of you can’t understand both sides and only side with the fl , y’all fail to realize he didn’t want to treat her that way but his own family died in the hands for her father , he himself almost died and he thought that the love of his life died the same way his parents did. cut him some slack he feels terrible knowing that the one he’s always been looking for his the one he mistreated bc of his hatred and trauma. y’all can’t blame him for having traumatic episodes . they both was suffering from the same issues. he himself is a victim too not just the fl.

poor girl and i agree from his perspective i get it but again… so what?? like did she really deserve all that vitriol and distrust and pain just bc her dad was a demon?? absolutely not so in the end he’s just gonna have to sit there and take it. this situation feels so hopeless rn i read the novel but i don’t quite remember the end… hope everything works out
