   In Murim settings like this story, there’s usually a jian (sword), which is double-edged and designed for piercing. Another is a dao (blade, or saber), which is single-edged and designed for slashing. Think of them like a rapier and a katana. Both are technically swords, but one is for piercing and the other is for slashing.

   With that differences, thus the difference in their combat arts.

   Wtf is the difference between the blade atrs and the sword ones? Is a sword not a blade?
