Remember guys, her first husband/older brother figure /also/ seemed to retain some basic ‘memories’ in the form of instinctive emotion about Leoni. Time was rewound, I feel, rather than jumped to ‘another timeline’ or what have you. I feel that Rutger holds some instinctive feelings and vague memories of some sort, because he’s been weirdly attached to her from the get go.
