I had a feeling that taking Harvey (Xavier) out wasn’t such a great idea. The store manager put it bluntly and nastily, but he’s not wrong.
Xavier is a young half-leopard who is still immature, very emotional and often moves on instinct. He’s cute, but he can be dangerous not only to others, but to himself and his mistress. He’s been mistreated, enslaved and traumatized, so it’s normal for him to attack when he feels threatened or has trouble controlling his transformations.
I already thought so when he attacked the maid, but letting him do whatever he wants just because he’s cute is not a good way to educate a child, let alone an animal (in this case, he’s both). Of course, she corrected him at the time, but I hope she’ll take his education a little more seriously. As much for her reputation (she’s a noblewoman) as for the well-being of Harvey and the people he’ll meet.
