Sorry to burst your bubble qc guy. However, gungnir is used as a lance. Lances are designed as a single powerful thrusted weapon. They’re designed to penetrate any defense. They are long and heavy as such they’re normally used on horseback because the weight of some of them is so much they need to support it with the saddle. They are the great sword of pole arms. Something that’s used as a spear is essentially a dagger on the end of a stick. You stab multiple times and barely do any visible damage. Gungnir plows through multiple targets and kills them all in one blow…. Really sounds and acts like a lance. Also, it’s Odin’s pole arm who normally rides on horse back. So it fits.
