@thatkatanagirl You’re comparing a story built around abuse and manipulation to a meal, but if what’s being served is rotten, it’s not rude to speak up it’s responsible. And yes, I’m absolutely directing my voice at the chef too that’s what critique is. But if diners next to me are moaning about how delicious the mold is, you can’t expect silence either.
Criticism isn’t censorship. Readers have the right to point out when a story romanticizes violence, especially when it’s packaged as entertainment. Saying “we’re not reading for morality” doesn’t erase the impact these narratives have on real perceptions especially when they normalize harmful behavior under the guise of dark romance.
The irony? Other readers have actually enjoyed the back-and-forth and called it entertaining. I’m not mad I’m having fun. 😉You’re the one pressed that someone had the nerve to criticize your favorite fictional rapist. If that makes you uncomfortable… maybe take your own advice and speak to the chef.

@Awsomegirl No one is uncomfortable here honey just saying LOL, and we’re not asking any questions whatsoever, why should we? We are not reading for its morality LOL, we’re just here to read in peace. If you really want to use your voice why not direct it at the source? We both got served the same meal at a restaurant, but while many pallets were ok, yours left a bitter taste in your mouth, so instead of going after the other guests enjoying their meal, maybe leave the restaurant, ask for your money back, or better yet, talk to the chef LOL. It’s that easy.
BTW those “attacks” are also criticisms too. It goes both ways. They are valid, you can’t keep them quiet either.

@thatkatanagirl Having a different opinion isn’t bashing it’s called criticism. Just because someone points out the harmful act and themes in a story doesn’t mean they’re trying to ruin it for others. Everyone has a right to speak up,and you can’t do anything about it especially when a story normalizes abuse under the label of romance. If that makes you uncomfortable, maybe ask yourself why. I’ll keep using my voice the same way you use yours and that’s fair. (Sorry truth hurt sis Lol ) Keep them attacks comming 😊

@DreamyReader75 This is what baffles me, especially the ones who have read the book. If the novel had such a negative impact on their psychology then why do they keep coming back to the manhwa every week for more abuse? What I find offensive is how they come to the comments section calling other readers all sorts of names expecting us to listen and drop the series (even when they continue to read it themselves LOL). Majority think this story was written by a man, and for a while I thought the same, but enough time in forums and from Korean readers has told me that the majority of authors who write novels like this are women and their target audiences are often women. There are also novels much worse than this one I’ve heard (Yikes)
As for @Awsomegirl if you don’t recognize by now what you’re doing in the comments section to other readers is bashing and name calling, then your psyche really has been damaged but this novel, good lord (get off the internet and breathe girl ! LOL)

I’m Sorry ou say ‘just read it like fiction’ as if calling out abuse makes someone weak ?
Newsflash: there’s nothing romantic about rape, and slapping a ‘dark romance’ label on it doesn’t magically turn violence into passion. If your idea of escapism needs trauma to feel exciting, maybe the genre isn’t the issue it’s how far you’ll stretch your morals when the abuser’s hot. Saying ‘don’t bash others for liking it’ won’t silence me either. I’m not bashing I’m pointing out facts. And your discomfort with the truth doesn’t make me wrong, it just proves why these conversations are needed.

@Awsomegirl, I assume you don’t like dark romance so please either read it like fiction or drop it. I hate this type of men in real life but it fiction we can go wild bro. Like shill. If it triggers you then stop reading, no one is asking you to read and if reading don’t bash other readers who enjoys this ……
