Leon was taught to be brutal like his father ,his father who also was a psycho ,did awful stuff to people who oppose the monarchy and killed tortured his own father for siding with the revolutionary his Mother was real awful to treated him badly favored his brother over him and wasen’t affectionate ,He was raised by awful Parents same with Grace she was manipulated .Both actually were manipulated by their parents who could blame them when ,they were children .But real messed up how Leon become a rapist dosen’t excuse his act.

@Kaede I must agree that both physical torture would be perfect as a reader to .Because I can’t redeem rapist like him especially with all the amount of toture that she received from him. I believe every rapist should taste his own medicine because usually they don’t feel empathy for their victims they don’t feel bad for them mentally . But yeah I also wanted Grace to heal from her trauma she definatly deserve better .She’s also very gorgeous I like her beauty as FL.

@Katelovespeanuts>.< physical torture would be satisfying for us readers, unfortunately it wouldn't work for someone like Leon, he's too tough, and too proud. Psychological torture was the best way to break his mind and even at the end of the story he still has some PTSD like anxiety while Grace is just living her best life.

In the novel when he finally regret his mistakes,he doesn’t regret that much compared to whtever hell he’s done to her.I wish they torture him as much to have Grace’s redemption 🙂

the novel is way worse they toned it down a little replace it with this one .Leon literally puts a noose around her neck, tightening it to threaten her life while he watches coldly. When her blood vessels burst in her eyes, her he skin around her neck reddens and bruises as the pressure cuts off her air, leaving her gasping and trembling ,after that he slaped her while she was unconcious and raped her. while he has her in the noose he’s having s** with her. Set the noose up so that she’s only barely breathing when he’s inside her and holding her up, but it chokes her if he pulls out and/or lets her go. While he’s doing this to her while she’s in the noose, she mentions that he must like her or something like that and it pis*** him off, so he pulls out and steps away, leaving her to hang. Also ignores her as she tries to beg for him to help her.It’s sadistic psychological and physical torture designed to terrorize and control. The way he uses such a brutal, life-threatening method shows how deeply twisted and sick he is, treating her like an object to break her spirit which is its pure cruelty and abuse disguised as dominance. His actions are monstrous and inhuman. That’s why in my view he doesn’t deserve any redemption.
