Guys, if you understand this story carefully, it’s actually Dorothea’s fault, not Ethan fault for the things that went astray. Many readers didn’t want to admit FL weakness. I’m on team Ethan Bronte.
First of all @Yenlim, Ethan is literally one of the biggest and best green flags ever. Of course, in their first life he had a lot of loose screws in his head but remember that that was only because of how he grew up. He fell in love with since the very beginning and even when she did not notice him he supported her dying relationship. He even tried so so hard to make break it up but that failed. Then he focused on helping her get better by ensuring she took her meds, rested well and was at peace most of the time but even that had it’s own limitations, I mean, she was fucking married with a cheat who had the guts to claim she was evil after attempting to kill her brother.
Even to the point when she died he tried so hard and contemplated a lot. After going back in time he chose to take the blame for everything and willingly become the object of her hatred just to ensure she came to terms with her past while giving her up all the same.
I give my baby Ethan a 9/10 because I feel he should fight for his love. I mean, after everit.hing he went through just to ensure her survival he deserves it
@DinoQwQ Did you just not read any of the chapters leading up to the end of S1? He literally told her that he singlehandedly ruined her first life – pushing her to kill her own brother, propping her up and killing nobles to maintain her rule, torturing Theon through making her kill Ray and then killing Theon’s friend and stealing the stone. Literally forced her to watch the person she loved effectively “starve” (in a spiritual sense) himself to death before he killed himself in her room as a final act of rebellion. Even then he wasn’t happy – and wanted to force her to beg him to live as effectively his slave on her execution day (that whole “Just ask for my help” – he was the Emperor, he could have forgiven or changed her punishment, but he just wanted to control her). He is evil throughandthrough and has now effectively f*cked her new life by forcing the expectation of Spirit User/Empress on her when she wanted to live quietly, all so he could try and force himself by her side as otherwise she would have to reveal that she is a “fraud”. All without her consent, and all with him knowing the pain he caused her before. Ethan is an obsessive c*nt who honestly deserves death.
Ok I’m kinda mad at Dorothea, she obviously had feelings for Ethan but just because of her “past”, this girlie wanted to stay away from Ethan. Did you see how shattered Ethan was when Dorothea walked away? Like I hate Theon. Theon is so selfish and yet Dorothea chooses Theon over Ethan. Ethan did everything for Dorothea and she Decided to ignore all of it. She didn’t even say a peeper goodbye to Ethan and walked away heartlessly 💔. Hope she can change and even though ethan is the ML I still feel so bad for him :(.
