Yall saying she should’ve just ran… My girl is the next person responsible for when her husband is away. Her retreating will look weak on her part (according to history and such) and her entire character arc is about how she is scared of what others think of her. And at these sort of times, you wouldn’t want to be part of a war. He basically is powerful enough to have the king/emperor either ally with them or riftan (and riftan seems to have a bad track record with the king). Not only that, no one knew what to do or say. She is basically left to be responsible for an entire ass town. Bffr it’s clearly in the best interest to try and see if there is a way to make some sort of peace or agreement

@JadedBirb Nah. I think they are right in this situation, not even about her not being able to defend anything. Just. Run. Tf makes her think they can talk this out? I know she is out of touch since she never left her marble cage, but it doesn’t make it less infuriating even if her character is somewhat complex,

@lulu89 Dude I WISH everyone was as happy and blessed as you to have a nice family who loves you; she never had any of that; she was used, abused and mistreated her whole life and that trauma is what she is clearly still struggling with; even so she stood up for herself and for Riftens home! People do not recover from abuse quickly or easily and it can stick with them for thier whole lives.
How about you actually have some empathy for the character or just stop reading as complex characters clearly arent; for you :/
