So, I’ve read the first six chapters, no Yaoi in sight for now.
Honestly, this story is pretty good. In my opinion, it deserves a much higher rating than 3.4 stars. There are some actual garbage stories on this site with higher ratings, which is wild, because this one has real potential.
At first, I thought the plot was going to be predictable, but I was pleasantly surprised, it’s actually quite original. By chapter six, I realized my assumptions might be wrong, and I really hope that continues. If the story keeps this momentum and is executed well, I think it could turn out to be a great read. I’m definitely looking forward to future chapters.
Also, yes, the female lead is fat. That’s literally the entire premise of the story and it’s right there on the cover. So I don’t get why people are acting shocked in the comments or making rude remarks. It’s unnecessary and honestly kind of dumb, did they not see the cover? It’s uncomfortable to read those fat-shaming comments, especially when the manhwa is clearly trying to explore those themes. The irony is unreal.
Personally, I think the story has the potential to raise awareness about eating disorders or maybe even broader mental health issues. If that’s the direction it takes, and it’s handled well, it could be a really good and educational read. But that’s just my hope, we’ll see where it goes.
All in all, I really think people should give this story a chance. Six chapters in and I’m genuinely enjoying it. I’ll be keeping an eye on it and sharing my thoughts as new chapters come out.
