I agree with ML. I also do not like the king. He has his sins as well (though I will admit that his sins are not nearly as egregious as murder, which is inexcusable) but because he is a powerful man in this society he gets to get away with it. He wasn’t a good guy. He hurt others and DON’T FORGET that he USED MC (and ML) to find where the counterfeit money was coming from. And when he did find out he wanted to squash the rumours before they began, since they implicated the royal family. Fortunately, ML had the foresight to go to the newspaper beforehand.

I sort of agree with Alexei, even if he didn’t love her, he probably shouldn’t have taken in a lover, although I don’t blame the guy, she really was insufferable.
