Yeah for those of you who don’t get it, basically these are the nobles that are part of the knights. (The duke takes on whoever is capable of becoming a knight, so there’s the commoners and nobles alike that all serve him.) While the commoner knights accept the lady, the noble knights are having a hard time accepting her because she is an illegitimate child that is now their master. So, she was called there today so that the knights could pledge their loyalty, but because they do not see her as someone worth their loyalty, none of the knights pledge their sword.
The maid faction however backs the lady entirely, and the maids are who supply the knights with food, so that’s why out of those 3 knights that huddled together the one blonde one was talking about getting on the bad side of the maids and not being served food.
That’s at least what I remember from the novel ^^ hope it helped!

The translation hurts but ok, I think I got whats happening, So noble of nobles (haha) discriminate illegitimate children when they are the one’s who make them. assholes.
