I hope that in the end she’ll stay with the Duke but compromise with visiting the emperor sometimes because since there’s clearly some missing information although I do believe she shouldn’t go back to them the fact is that the emperor and prince know nothing of what they did to her and although that does not excuse them, maybe building a relationship with boundaries would be a happy medium.

If u love her, let her go. He cant protect her, didnt investigate well what is going on (prob since he is in a rush), but if he does he would know to what extent her life was HELL. He cannot protect her, so, leave her where she can grow well. Visitation rights is not a bad idea, let her know where she comes from as is her right.

Shushu was actually not just transmigrator but also a regressor at least it was eluded she is, from the spirit boy that Said “this time” it will go the way you want it or something like that and the dream where shushu met her Adult self inside the mirror realms which mean whatever happens in the future she’s indeed get banished there. I’m not 100% blaming the bio family I’m just saying if shushu didn’t like them and didn’t want anything to do with them then even if they had reason in previous life to treat her that way shushu also has a very strong right to feel the way she feel.

So, what happened between this Emperor and the one that our girl remembers, who rejected her and ultimately banished her to the mirror where her spirit still resides? Why did the brother who is still collecting gifts for the sibling he was had sensed ultimately say that she wasn’t family the first time she was found?
Left alone, without the duke’s intervention that’s the future that happened. Our girl’s interaction with the version of herself trapped in the mirror is proof of that. So, what would have happened to change them so completely? Is that still a danger?
I get the point is to ensure our girl isn’t down for getting involve with her bio family and to play that for drama, but it seem unrealistic that the bio-dad we see now is the same one that would dismiss her for having weak power and condemn her to some metaphysical prison without something excessive happening.
