Her bio family doesn’t actually love HER, they love the IDEA of her. The construct that they made in their minds while waiting to meet her, the idea of “rescuing” her. Notice how neither asked her opinion or if she wants to do these things at all? That’s because they don’t really care, they’re wrapped up in what they think she should want to do based only on what they want her to do. They’re basically treating her like a doll, under the guise of “family”, which they are not. They’ve yet to earn even the smallest family right. That is NOT love, and it’s certainly not family.

I feel like the red hair princess or the empress brain washed/cursed the emperor and the prince so they wouldn’t accept shu shu. Remember, they have the special aura that tells them if someone is apart of the imperial family, I think the empress and the daughter blocked the aura, so they couldn’t tell if shu shu was family or an imposter (also they thought the shu shu was a boy).

I know some people feel bad for bio family, but I think they are incredibly selfish. They don’t care about what Shushu wants or what is best for her. Maybe there will be salvation for them but at the moment I don’t like them and I hope Shushu never goes back to them.
