I can blame her, it is unjustified (saying something “isn’t entirely unjustified” also means it’s not completely justifiable, which means it’s still unjustified…very nuanced), and it’s not impressive lol. I wouldn’t use that word to describe anything about her, even though I know you’re speaking neutrally/objectively.

Can you blame her though, for thinking she is invincible? She’s had plot armour levels of luck since childhood. A slave from birth, yet was somehow able to continue on living with an attitude of superiority you only get away with, when you have the money or connection to do so. Killed an entire noble family, and took on the name of the daughter of said family with again, no repercussions. Nobody questioned the literal extermination of a noble family, and the supposed only survivor.
So her thinking she had it in the bag as the emperor’s mistress, isn’t entirely unjustified. It’s why she’s so obsessed with Jenesia. The only person in her life to go against her and win, besides her brother who, lets, face it, should have taken the risk and run away as a boy when his baby sister had their mother sacrifice her own arm for a piece of jewellery. Or at the very least later on when she ‘rose from the dead’ back into his life.
Her delusions of grandeur are honestly very impressive when you think about it.
