So basically he can’t “sense” a person as human being. You can see in the previous chapter that he keeps looking others just black-and-white, he realized them by they voice only. Can you imagine how scared to living like that?
But then song is only the one that looks like a person, like a reaaaaallll person. So that he keep attached with her, because only her that feels “real” in his world.
Before he wokes up (like 2 or 3 chapt before), he also said that he can’t make a differences between dreams and reality, because all is black-and-white for both of the event. Maybe like lucid dream?? So that he keep staying in his “paradise”/”dream” because he scared that he will going crazy.
