The thing is she was supposed to be the empress aka the wife rather than the mistress and she was told she would be the empress but at the last moment everyone betrayed her and made her to mistress but in the past life since she loved him and wanted to be a good girl she didn’t opposed the proposal and met the tragic end and in this life she’s out for revenge.
