Lise’s ending is more satisfying in the novel. She could change her life, redeemed herself, yet she did more stupid acts and foolishness that bring her to her own downfall. This ending was too rush and mess.

Reeze wakes up in the story just in time for Reeze’s flower path to start, then gets bored and wishes for the story to progress. She gets her wish, but in the form of breaking her original plot. At that point, she had the power to set the exception clauses in a way that could help the characters break out of the their roles. Instead of deciding that she maybe shouldn’t have given other characters such a raw deal, she doubled down on the perfection of her creation and determined to live ‘Reeze’s ideal life’ over and over and over–Edith’s possessor (or possessors, apparently, in the novel) can literally go hang…over and over and over.
There’s a reason that Sophia the maid and the ‘author’ or basically identical in the face. Different motivations–same displacement defense mechanism. Your boss you’re in love with doesn’t care shit about you? Repeatedly beat his bastard cousin/adopted sister up. Someone criticizes your novel because they’ve lived your antagonist’s shitty backstory? Repeatedly punish the girl whose abuse you caused with death instead of helping her escape it, never bearing any real consequences yourself.
