I know it won’t happen, but can she just hurry up and burn the emperor to death already. It’s already bad enough that he had her raped and gouged her eyes out in her previous life, but in true Korean patriarchal wank-fantasy from a male author, they have the FL falling for him despite y’know.. the whole raping and maiming thing. On top of that he has literally zero redeemable qualities – not even like a hint that “Oh, he was brutal because he care about the people and the last emperor was even worse” type deal.
