@Dannybydesign It’s called edging. Weebs read this trash to stroke off their small egos. Stacking talents, perks, or rewards edges them towards the climax, but the author don’t wanna let the weebs climax because they’ll lose interest after.

I feel like instead of just stacking a bunch of talents on him why not explore more into the ones he has now. We don’t even know the stages to spearmanship or summoners and that familiar. Its more likes a Ash and every talent in his world is a Pokémon at this point. Its sweet a person who had a hard life gets a better one but also create some stakes and tension.

One thing that bothers me is that the familiar egg was never mentioned again or dealt with definitively, it’s just stuck in the narrative limbo, left aside for when the author finally remember it. Also, the world building sucks so far, new elements appear all the time overulling what was established before and things just don’t seem to be cohesive. And why is he op for the sake of being op? That’s very 7th prince of him, but even the 7th prince being op was explained by previous life experience, in this case he was just a 4th stage sword with great potential in his previous life, being an innate genius in 5 areas (and probably more, because power fantasy authors usually can’t stop until their Mc’s are the most powerful god of their universe) and facing absolutely no challenge in building his power makes no sense and, honestly, gets old quickly. Anyway, I’ll just turn off my brain I guess.
