Finally caught up. First 110 chapters or so were great. Quality of the second half has been inconsistent at best and dogshit at worst. The influence of The Last Airbender, Mushoku Tensei, Eragon, and power fantasies like Solo Leveling are all obvious but this misses the mark in terms of what made those individually great, even putting aside trying to fuse those stories together. Fan fiction of a Gen MZ. If you want true quality storytelling, I recommend the original sources cited above, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, or SSS-Class Suicide Hunter.

The art has become worse the last few chapters. Just list yourself as a co-inventor – the council already knows that Art helped invent the steamship. It’s why they told him not to freak out at the end of season 5.
