How I see Raymond and interpret this situation is kinda like he’s going through withdraws (like drug withdrawals). With drugs and feeling, u can not like it or how u feel when u have it but if you’ve been on it (the drugs/ fl’s love) for a long time aka his whole life, there’s gonna be an emptiness without it. So now he needs to figure out what that emptiness is. Is it love (towards fl) or is it fear of being without her love that you’ve never gone without before and a lot of the time the latter gets mistaken for the former. Raymond needs help. And poor fl’s brother. He has no idea what’s going on in 2 ppl’s head so cut him some slack, he can only go based off of what he see’s and knows about them. Imagine having an obsessed sister to the extent of og fl of course ur gonna think her not liking the guy anymore is a different tactic she’s going for when she’s probably tried a million different ways before. As for him tryna figure out her marriage it’s weird to us but as many of u probably know (from reading all these books) in that time period it’s usually the dad and/or male family members responsibility to secure female family members a marriage and depending on the time and norms the women will probably be included so the brother would’ve probably included his sis at one point. His pick was atrocious tho like a cheating man and just hopes prayers and vibes that he doesn’t cheat once married…. What??

What the hell?? Why does Agnes’s brother just do whatever he wants without any regard for her feelings? He’s essentially encouraging Raymond to manipulate her so he can posses her like an object of obsession. “Take back what was taken,” it’s creepy and gross. He doesn’t ACTUALLY care about her, he’s just pissy because she moved on from her obsession and now he wants her whole world to revolve around him again.
I’m so glad FL is a crazy stan for Kyle/Kylo/Kairo so she won’t be tricked into their disgusting plot to put her back with the person who made her miserable atm. I hate the brother for prioririzing the dude who hurt his sister over her, he’s one of the worst people in this story.
