Hmm? Edwin’s swordsmanship incident is not included huh… In the novel, the FL actually stumbled on Edwin’s treating in her search for the fairy herb(if I remember it correctly) which she would use for her business. In this incident, Edwin’s teacher was a retired knight with a permanent disability that he got by saving the duke in the Battle field. (ankle break? He was limping). The FL was able to witness that after Edwin lost against Sven(the name of the knight) he sliced his calf? He punished himself by injury okay? Because that was part of their ‘agreement’. Then the female lead who saw this intervened by biting his ankle and Sven was blaming the FL for interrupting the training when he is just an unknown child. Then Edwin warned him to be careful of his mouth. After some banter and threat between them, Sven starts to walk away but the FL said ‘Edwin got a useless teacher’ and Sven came back. Edwin put the FL behind his back and he was grabbed by the throat and the FL attecked with those child hands but it was useless. Then the duke arrived and asked what he was doing. He made made the excuse of training just like how he experied it as a knight a d just like how the duke experienced if from his father. Then the duke argued that Edwin was not to be a knight but a Duke. And that he eapected him that since he knew how harsh the training was, he would do it differently. Then the duke decided to dismiss him but Sven argued on saving him and making him unable walk properly again. Then the duke learned what throughly happened through FL because Edwin was not saying it? Sven then tried to attack him but the duke utilized the shadow guards and took him away. Prob killed him. I actually liked this scene because the duke and Edwin has a cute moment after. After this the FL healed his leg which Edwin replied as ‘did I told you to heal me?’ then the FL lead think it might be because it hurt his pride but I think it was because the FL was also injured. The Duke also took the side of his son by saying he is the future Duke and he is already training since childhood. And that he is to experience something worse in the future. The duke also warned the FL to not intervene recklessly again in such situations. After this, I think the FL still was able to heal his minor injuries aside from his calf. Then at night, he apologised about his attitude and gifted her a tiara. Then the FL was accused of stealing it and Edwin defending her by saying he gave it to her
