This goes different from the novel. If I’m not mistaken, after playing with the jewels, the FL already knows that the ring was important, thanks to his previous memories. She also asked Josh if the maid always treated Edwin that way which he answered that it only happened after the outing. Then, the FL warned Josh to keep that ring safe so that it won’t be lost but Josh actually want to give it to Edwin. So the FL suggested that they readjust the size and give it to Edwin. The FL left the ring to Josh to which Josh gave it to the butler. When they were blaming the FL of stealing, although she denied it, her maid Tara? (my memory is so shit when it comes to names😅🤣) took the blame for her. It was also the reason why the maid was dismissed in her previous life(yup same situation. I just remembered). During this time, Josh was sleeping so that was it. The butler ordered that the Nanny is to be taken away until the duke arrived. When the duke was back, they discussed the situation and he also learned how the maid treated Edwin. Then the duke asked what does the FL want to do with the nanny and the FL said they must get Josh’s opinion and Josh allowed the nanny to be sent away…. That’s what I remember atleast. Correct me if I’m wrong hahaha
