They didn’t “steal his voice” they just said he was mute. And he’s talking right here. So it’s probably selective mutism. It’s common in kids after experiencing trauma.

Oh hell no.
He grows up and becomes like that? Best to just let him heal on his own. It’s not like he’ll die. And MC won’t waste her precious powers. Everybody wins.
