@Yumicho “Brainwashing”. That’s such a cop-out at this point. It’s even more funny that it’s women writers using “brainwashing” as an excuse. Time and time again, the male characters get forgiven and the female characters get condemned. Tbh idc if this kid was brainwashed. His actions hurt Belze and she still remembers and has scars from it. Fine, maybe he doesn’t get blamed (entirely) but that doesn’t absolve him of all responsibility. He still performed the actions. If hypothetically we were to bring this before a court, that little $hit would be equally as culpable. So I’m not just going to let him off with an excuse of “brainwashing”.
The main point is that what he did hurt Belze, and it’s obvious that Belze is still carrying around their harsh words and betrayals in this life. So basically what they did doesn’t NOT matter, it still matters because Belze is affected by it. Putting everything under the umbrella of brainwashing is such a cop-out. It’s pathetic and readers need to stop doing it.
For example, if you were walking down the sidewalk and I just happened to push a person right into the sidewalk where you were walking to deliberately make you trip, you wouldn’t just let that person off. Sure he didn’t mean to trip you but it happened and it hurt you so you would want an apology from that person and from me as well. The way I see it, that kid has some responsibility because he was the one spouting $hitty words at her, and taking sides even though he was supposed to remain neutral. He doesn’t just get to get it away with it because “brainwashing” hur dur dur
Stop using brainwashing as a cop-out for $hitty attitudes and behavior. Start holding the characters responsible for their actions.

@EvalleB I don’t think you should blame the kid, he was probably influenced/controlled by Diana and the demonic power in their past life

I don’t like that MC is getting closer to this kid. I still remember what he did in her past life. F*ck that guy! I have no sympathy for him getting beaten up at all. You deserve it. Just consider it part of karma.
