Ultimately that sentiment is meaningless. People can and should be forgiven. We aren’t exactly sure what happened to Rubia that allowed our FL to enter her body, so it’s ambiguous as to her fate. The FL didn’t just forgive the Grand Duke, she told him to atone for his mistakes and become a better person. What’s the point of letting him live in regret for the rest of his life? All that will do is discourage him from treating others (like his other daughter and wife) with respect. Your response is a classic over generalization; everyone’s situations and relationships are different.

The author is dumb, teaching people through this chapter -if you get abused as a child via child neglect you should forgive the parent when you grow up- SO DUMB. Rubia should NOT be telling him you should learn to love me, NO! She needs to tell him it’s too late, his daughter that wanted to be loved is dead and he’ll need to live with this regret for the rest of his life. Instead she’s letting him off. This is why people continue to abuse other, they know they’ll be forgiven anyway.
